Do you have parking?Sorry, we do not offer parking at Beau SF. The neighborhood has a 2 hour parking limit and usually that is plenty of time for your appointment. There is also meter parking on California and Sacramento street. Times to find parking can vary depending on the time of day and day itself. I would give yourself a 10 min buffer to find parking when you visit us.

Why do you have a cancellation policy? We are a mostly an appointment based studio that not only requires a credit card on file but also a deposit on several services. We try to keep our cancelation policy as fair as possible while still protecting the income of our providers. Several of our service providers are independent contractor meaning they do not receive hourly, but they do receive a high commission on the service they provide. This structure gives them more flexibility in their schedule and a better living wage. Our cancelation policy is that if you cancel even a minute before your appointment we only charge 1/2 the service fee. The only time you get fully charged is if you completely "no call" and "no show". The 1/2 service charge still puts the business and the provider at a loss, but it at least allows them to not sit at work without getting paid (which we presume none of us are ok with). We have dedicated our lives to being the best at our craft and are constantly improving. We work at a professional level and strive to have a full book of business every single day. As service providers we are clearly not in a career that’s just about "the money". We spend our time building connection and relationships with our clients, but everyone is still subject to this policy. It is disheartening when we go above and beyond to be generous and flexible and the impact disputing a charge has on the providers is disregarded. We are not trying to take advantage of anyone, It is purely in place to protect the providers that serve you. Please respect our profession and our industry because this is how we remain here to serve the community. Thank you for understanding and continuing to support our hair and esthetics studio, Beau team.

Who is not a candidate for radio frequency skin tightening?Pregnant Women: Similar to many cosmetic treatments, RF skin tightening is not recommended during pregnancy, as the effects of RF energy on a developing fetus are not well understood. People with Pacemakers or Implanted Medical Devices: The radio frequency energy can potentially interfere with the functioning of implanted devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, or other electronic implants. Individuals with Certain Skin Conditions: Active Skin Infections or Open Wounds: RF treatment should not be used on areas with active infections, wounds, or broken skin as it could exacerbate the condition. Severe Acne or Inflammatory Skin Conditions: People with conditions like active acne, eczema, or psoriasis may experience irritation or adverse reactions from RF treatment. People with Metal Implants in the Treatment Area: RF energy may be absorbed by metal implants (such as those in the jaw, face, or body), which can cause discomfort or interfere with the treatment. Individuals with Heart Conditions: Those with severe heart conditions or uncontrolled hypertension may not be suitable candidates, as RF energy can affect blood circulation and cause complications in some cases. People with Autoimmune Diseases: Certain autoimmune conditions can affect the body's ability to heal or respond to RF treatments. It's crucial for individuals with conditions like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis to consult a healthcare provider beforehand. People with Cancer: RF treatments should be avoided in areas with active cancer or a history of cancer. The procedure could potentially stimulate cell growth or spread the cancerous cells. Those with Poor Blood Circulation or Blood Clotting Disorders: RF skin tightening may affect circulation, so it is not recommended for individuals with blood clotting disorders, varicose veins, or other circulation issues. People with Severe or Advanced Skin Laxity: RF treatments are more effective for mild to moderate skin laxity. Those with significant or advanced skin sagging may require more invasive procedures, such as a surgical facelift, rather than non-invasive RF treatments. People with Metal Fillings or Dentures: If RF is applied to the face, people with metal fillings or dental implants may experience discomfort due to the metal’s reaction to RF energy.

Who is not a candidate for ultrasonic cavitation?Pregnant Women: The effects of ultrasound on a fetus are not well studied, so it is advised to avoid this procedure during pregnancy. People with Pacemakers or Other Implanted Devices: The ultrasound waves can interfere with electronic implants, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, or other devices. Individuals with Certain Medical Conditions: Liver or Kidney Disease: Since the body processes the fat after it is broken down, impaired liver or kidney function may prevent the proper elimination of the fat. Cancer: Those with active cancer, particularly in the targeted area, should avoid ultrasonic cavitation, as the procedure could potentially stimulate tumor growth. Blood Clotting Disorders: People with conditions like hemophilia or who are on blood-thinning medication may face a higher risk of bruising or internal bleeding. People with Skin Disorders: Those with open wounds, skin infections, or inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area should avoid the procedure until the skin is healed. Individuals with Severe Obesity: Ultrasonic cavitation is typically more effective for localized fat reduction in people who are close to their target weight, rather than those with significant obesity. People with Heart Conditions: Those with certain heart conditions should avoid ultrasonic cavitation, as the ultrasound may interfere with cardiovascular health. Those with Metal Implants in the Target Area: Metal implants may not respond well to ultrasound energy, making it unsafe to treat areas with metal in place.

Are spray tans safe?Spray tanning has been a legitimate process for decades. The main chemical found in sunless tanning has been deemed safe and harmless by the Food and Drug Administration for external use. Spray tanning does not protect you against overexposure. regularly applying sunscreen with moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and to prevent overexposure.

Will spray tanning make me orange? This concern is outdated and no longer valid. Spray tanning salons have made improvements since the days of orange. Spray tanning has been an available option for people to give their skin a healthy glow for decades. In that time, as more people have adopted the practice, the process has gotten much more sophisticated. The orange coloring came from an additive to the spray tan. Again, the active chemical in spray tan solutions (DHA) is colorless. As a result, the reaction between your skin and the DHA is not instantaneous. Many producers of spray tan used to add bronzers to give the tanner immediate results. Many spray tans still have bronzers in their formula. Fortunately, time and experience have helped guide the market to more subtle approaches to achieving an instant result. Bronzers are also helpful in making judgments about how even the coating of spray tan is. Missing an area or spraying an uneven coating will lead to variations in color on your skin later.

What is sugaring hair removal?Sugaring is a method of temporary body hair removal. It involves using a paste, which is made up of a combination of sugar, lemon juice and water (hence the name). The paste is then applied directly to the skin and then pulled off in the direction of hair growth. Think of sugaring as a slightly less painful version of waxing. Learn more here
