What’s the difference between a Stylist Haircut and a Barber Haircut? A Stylist Haircut is primarily performed with shears and is designed for hair that is below the ears, from bobs and medium-length cuts to long hair. It includes a wash and professional blow-dry. A Barber Haircut is designed for shorter styles and may include clipper work, fades, and scissor cutting on top. An all-scissor barber haircut can also be provided. If your haircut requires a fade or primarily clipper work, book a Barber Haircut.
How do I know which hair color service to book? Beau offers select hair color services, including gray coverage, toners, and glosses. We do not offer full bleach-and-tone color services. If you’re unsure which color service is appropriate for your hair or desired result, contact Beau before booking and we can help guide you to the right service.
What’s the difference between a gloss, toner, and permanent hair color? A hair gloss adds shine and can subtly enhance or refresh the tone of your existing hair color. A toner is used to adjust or refine the tone of the hair, such as neutralizing unwanted warmth or refreshing an existing color. Permanent hair color creates a longer-lasting color change and is commonly used for gray coverage and root touch-ups. At Beau, we offer glosses, toners, and gray coverage but do not offer full bleach-and-tone color services.
Should I come to my hair appointment with clean or dirty hair? You don’t need to arrive with freshly washed hair for most appointments. However, we recommend avoiding excessive product buildup, dry shampoo, or heavy oils before your appointment. If your service includes a wash, your stylist or barber will cleanse your hair as part of the appointment.
Do you offer hair services for all genders? Yes. All Beau hair and barbering services are available to all genders. Our services are based on the haircut, technique, hair length, and desired result rather than gender. If you’re unsure whether to book a Stylist Haircut or Barber Haircut, choose based on the type of haircut you’re looking for or contact us for guidance.
How often should I get my hair cut? It depends on your haircut, hair length, and how closely you want to maintain the shape. Shorter cuts, fades, and barber cuts generally require more frequent maintenance, while medium and longer hairstyles can typically go longer between appointments. Your Beau stylist or barber can recommend a schedule based on your specific haircut and how you like to wear it.
What’s included in a Blowout? A Blowout includes a hair wash, professional blow-dry, and customized styling for a smooth, polished finish, added volume, or soft movement. If you want additional styling with a curling iron or flat iron for defined curls, waves, or a sleek finish, book our Blowout with Heat Tool Styling.
