What is the difference between a Signature and Rapid Spray Tan? Both provide a customized, natural-looking tan. A Signature Spray Tan should be rinsed after approximately 7–9 hours, while a Rapid Spray Tan can be rinsed after approximately 3-5 hours, depending on your desired result and your technician’s recommendation.
How long does a spray tan last? A spray tan typically lasts 6–10 days, depending on your skin, preparation, aftercare, and lifestyle. Keeping your skin moisturized and avoiding excessive exfoliation can help your tan fade more evenly and last longer.
How should I prepare for a spray tan? Exfoliate and shave before your appointment and arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotion, oils, deodorant, and makeup. We recommend avoiding Dove soap for 72 hours before your appointment because it can leave a residue on the skin that may affect your tan.
How long after a spray tan can I shower? For a Signature Spray Tan, wait approximately 6–8 hours before your first rinse. Rapid Spray Tans can typically be rinsed after 1–3 hours. Avoid soap and shampoo during your first rinse and follow the timing recommended by your spray tan technician.
When should I get a spray tan before an event? We generally recommend getting your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. This gives the color time to fully develop and allows you to complete your first rinse before the event.
Will my spray tan protect me from the sun? No. A spray tan gives your skin a bronzed appearance but does not provide sun protection or prevent sunburn. Continue to use appropriate SPF and sun protection when exposed to UV rays.
