How do I know if I have healthy hair?

Healthy hair is typically characterized by the following qualities:

  • Smooth Texture: Healthy hair feels smooth to the touch and is free of excessive frizz or split ends.

 

  • Shiny Appearance: Healthy hair has a natural shine, which reflects light and indicates that the hair cuticles are flat and well-moisturized.

 

  • Strong and Elastic: Healthy hair is strong, meaning it can withstand normal styling and brushing without breaking easily. It also has elasticity, meaning it can stretch slightly without snapping.

 

  • Moisturized and Hydrated: Healthy hair retains moisture, which helps it remain soft and pliable. It’s not excessively dry or brittle.

 

  • Minimal Shedding: While it's normal to lose some hair daily, healthy hair sheds in minimal amounts and doesn’t show signs of thinning or breakage.

 

  • Scalp Health: A healthy scalp is crucial for healthy hair. It should be free of excessive dryness, oiliness, or irritation, which can affect hair growth and quality.

 

  • Even Growth: Healthy hair tends to grow evenly without significant areas of thinning or bald patches.

These attributes indicate that the hair is well-nourished, properly maintained, and free from significant damage. Keep in mind a bit of “purposeful damage” may be best suited for the style you are trying to achieve with your hair. This breakdown will just help you and your stylist have the same baseline of what healthy hair even means.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event that you need to cancel your appointment, please be sure to give us a minimum of 24-hour notice *(48 hours for full body contouring, full-set extension, & keratin hair smoothing services).  When rescheduling an appointment, please give us at least a 12-hour notice. Any appointments that are canceled with less than a 24-hour (or 48 hours for selected services listed above) notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of all scheduled service(s).  Any appointments that are rescheduled in less than 12 hours will be subject to a 50% late rescheduling fee. Any appointments that are ‘no show’ will be subject to 100% of all the scheduled service(s). Please note that the card used to book the appointment will be the card charged for the late cancellation or no-show.

We give a 15-minute grace period for most services. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment we may have to reschedule you. If you fail to show up to the rescheduled appointment for any reason, you will be charged  100% of that service. We will try to move things around and accommodate as much as possible. 

​

We understand that accidents happen, people get sick, and/or emergencies occur.  We will do our best to accommodate these rare occasions with grace.  Unfortunately, we do record these occurrences so as to prevent abuse of the policy. We understand this may come across as shrewd and our goal is to be preventative in order to protect and accommodate our team and guests.
